The Overview

Soulfull Source is a spiritual podcast created by two sisters where they share their personal experiences, evolving mindsets, and what they have been learning along their journeys. The podcast is centered around offering food for thought rather than direct advice, allowing listeners to reflect and deepen their own understanding.

The goal of this project was to create a logo that feels expressive, soulful, and visually aligned with the depth of the conversations being shared.

The Vision

The direction for this brand was inspired by the soulful aesthetic of 70s funk and soul culture. As Black women, it was important that the branding felt rich in expression and true to that influence while still feeling original.

A major part of the concept was the intentional spelling of Soulfull. This was done to emphasize the meaning of having a soul that is full, at peace, and complete.

The overall feeling needed to be warm, bright, and reflective. The kind of energy you feel in a quiet moment when everything slows down and you are fully present.

The Design Approach

I focused on creating a bold typographic design using bubble style lettering to capture both personality and presence. Soulfull is stacked on top of Source with an intentional offset to create movement and balance within the composition.

I added custom details to the lettering to give it a sense of flow and rhythm. Certain letter strokes extend outward to create a dynamic feel while still keeping the design structured and readable.

The color palette was built using soft warm tones to reflect the feeling of spiritual awakening. The main text is paired with a strong drop shadow to create depth while keeping the overall look clean and graphic.

To bring everything together, I added a gradient orb behind the text to represent energy, alignment, and expansion. This element enhances the spiritual feel of the brand while adding visual interest without overpowering the typography.

The Results

The final logo feels expressive, warm, and aligned with the message of the podcast. It captures both the cultural inspiration behind the design and the calm reflective nature of the conversations.

The design translates well across digital platforms and stands out while still feeling cohesive. It visually represents the purpose of Soulfull Source which is to create space for deeper thought, self reflection, and connection.
