The Overview
Kutz by Kyle is a modern barbershop concept created to showcase how a strong online presence can elevate a service based business. This mock project was designed to move away from the typical reliance on social media and third party booking apps and instead create a space that feels professional, intentional, and fully owned by the brand.
The focus was to create a clean and elevated website that allows clients to easily understand the services offered, view the quality of work, and confidently book an appointment all in one place.
The Vision
The vision for Kutz by Kyle was to position the brand as premium while still feeling approachable. I wanted the site to reflect the experience of walking into a barbershop that values precision, consistency, and attention to detail.
It was important that the website felt simple but not basic. Every section needed to serve a purpose whether that was building trust, showcasing skill, or guiding the user toward booking. The overall goal was to create something that not only looks good but actually works for the business by converting visitors into clients.
The Design Approach
I approached this design with both the client and the customer in mind. Most users will be visiting from their phone so I focused heavily on making the experience smooth, clear, and easy to navigate.
The layout was structured to naturally guide the user from introduction to action. Starting with a strong hero section to immediately establish the brand followed by a brief experience section to add personality and set expectations. From there I included a services section that is easy to scan so users can quickly find what they need without overthinking.
To build trust I incorporated a portfolio and testimonial section because people want to see proof before they commit. The design remains clean and spacious to keep the focus on the work while still feeling modern and elevated.
Call to actions were intentionally placed throughout the site so at any point the user feels ready they can book without having to search for it.
The Results
This design presents Kutz by Kyle as a polished and professional brand that stands out from competitors who rely solely on social media. The website creates a stronger sense of trust and legitimacy while also giving the barber full control over their client experience.
By simplifying the booking journey and clearly showcasing the quality of work this concept demonstrates how a well designed website can increase client confidence and encourage more direct bookings.
Overall this project highlights how even a simple service based business can feel elevated and intentional with the right design approach.
